Yeah, you know, it's gotta be a crazy life. What if they only got paid $75,000 to 100,000 per year? What would happen? I'd wager that a LOT of them would quit, because it's not a lifestyle that most people want. I remember when Adam LaRoche walked away from the game so that he could be with his family and help others. I mean, he was 35 by that time, but he still walked away from a bunch of money.........$13 million, to be exact, because his son wasn't allowed to be in the locker room every day. I guess he figured he had already missed enough of the boy's life playing ball.

I liked that. Trevor Bauer is bag full of crazy walnuts, but it's nice to be reminded that all of these guys have family, friends, and teammates that care about them. We really don't think about that and what it's like in reality to live the life as a baseball player. None of us wake up one day and find out we have to take our job skills to a new company in a new city, and that we need to be there ready to go by tomorrow afternoon. I agree. He has come off as a jerk and completely bat poop crazy, but that was a really cool documentary. Any time a guy who strikes it rich takes time and energy and money to help other people they always gain a ton of respect from me.

Props to the brew crew for hanging in there like they have. Good job by Counsell right there. With Saturdays win and Cubs loss they now have a 3 game lead. Funny thing is Brewers run differential is -3 and that's with two high scoring games their last two games. Cubs run differential is +112 by losing by one run their last two games. From a Cubs message board: Add another loss from Saturday's game. 19-34. Maddon is in the hot seat. Two years in a row and this fall out is inexcusable. On the AL side, Indians have were tied for the second wild card, but now they fell back a game to the Rays.

Maddon just left Yu Darvish in the 9th to try and pitch a complete game in a one run lead. Well that didn't work the game is now tied 2-2.
Yu Darvish gets one out and then Goldy hits a double, a man on first scores now making it 3-2 Cardinals.
Cardinals win 3-2. Brewers win. Cubs now 4 back. Seeing Cubs fan's faces right now, priceless.

Reveling in Falliies failage never gets old. They're only going to finish about 20 games behind us, that's not so bad.
I think they should get a participation trophy for that great effort.
