This is a series where we should fatten up and take care of business.
Hope we do not have any one run leads to protect in the 9th. You all know whom you will see in that case.
Nice to have a couple of those crooked numbers games in our favor. So its up to our guys to do their job like they should.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl Braves add a fresh bullpen arm until Ynoa is expected to be added to start Tuesday in place of Muller.
Atlanta Braves @braves The #Braves today recalled RHP Jacob Webb from Triple-A Gwinnett after optioning LHP Kyle Muller to the Stripers following yesterday’s game.

When will the Braves figure out this recycling of rejects isn’t working?

When will the Braves figure out this recycling of rejects isn’t working? Newcomb and Biddle have both been pitching well at Gwinnett so they’re on the docket to come back to teh Barves soon too. And who knew Biddle was still even in our organization, right?

*** WEATHER UPDATE*** METMAN WEATHER SERVICES 13 August 2021 4:25 PM EDT Washington, D.C. Metro Area BRAVES GAME FORECAST (7:05 PM EDT)
Game Time Forecast: Mostly cloudy and very humid with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially early. Temperatures in the mid to upper 80's (possibly in the upper 70's if showers are in the area), to around 80 by 11 PM. Winds SSW 3-7 MPH G13. Max gust is 22 MPH mainly associated with convective activity in the area. Precipitation is expected to be <0.1" but showers could linger around in the metro area, especially south for a little while.
19Z HRRR picking up on some showers in the area before game time but currently looks OK after 7 PM. HRW models and the NWS blend also show showers prior to 8 PM and little afterwards. The NAM has been persistent with 0.1- 0.2" between 8 and 11 PM. Several severe weather indicators (SB CAPE, SB lifted index, low level lapse rates) are elevated indicating enhanced conditions for severe weather in the area. Bottom line is we could have a few showers in the area early, some possibly severe, with lessening chances later. At this time it looks like the most of the rain will be before game time with a few lingering showers possible. I'll check the radar before game time.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl #Braves went 3-for-29 (.103) with runners in scoring position against Cincinnati and still won the series. They were 1-for-11 in Thursday’s series-finale loss.

Steve Gelbs@SteveGelbs Bad news on Jacob deGrom. While Luis Rojas says that he is improving, deGrom will be shutdown from throwing for another two weeks. At that point, he will get more imaging. The earliest deGrom could return now is mid-September, but his season is clearly very much in jeopardy.

*** WEATHER UPDATE*** METMAN WEATHER SERVICES 13 August 2021 7:55 PM EDT Washington, D.C. Metro Area BRAVES GAME FORECAST (7:05 PM EDT) Lingering light showers most likely no more than 0.1", maybe a tad more in spots, over the next several hours. Currently don't see any new cell development just a few scattered cells with light showers. Intensity is not expected to increase much but short periods of slightly heavier intensity could occur and they will eventually pass through/dissipate but could hang around until 9-10 PM or later. Measurable rainfall after 8 PM should be minimal i.e. <.05". Showers farther to the west are expected to dissipate before reaching the DC area. If they are not willing to play through the light showers could be quite a while before this one starts. Awaiting 23Z HRRR to see how it handles these residual light showers. I'll check the radar in a bit also to see if any holes or other signs of weakening are present.
