I just HATE young pitchers. Just hate em. Games like this make me HATE young pitchers
I don't know about Mueller, I just hope we do not hold on and hold on to the point where this guy is untradable and we have to ride it out with him like Wright and Touki but my thoughts is they will hope against hope.
Sorry - just do not have the patience with a bunch of dam young pitchers. They frustrate and break your heart more than they warm your heart.
On the flip side, taking two of three vs the Reds is not bad. That is a good team.
Dam - we have another struggling young pitcher and that stinks

Ummm, so what's your solution to young pitchers, 5 established guys making $150 per year combined?

Probably back in third place after this one. Mets won game 1 and 2, today, so back to third place. Why does it matter? We're a game out for chrissakes. We won 2 of 3 from a good team. Geezus.

Told you. Muller needs a lot of work. He's not ready. Not even close. He has been in the system for a while now, when was his draft class, around 2016 if I remember right This stuff about not being ready when a guy has been in the system that long just might be a case of a guy not being good enough. How much patience can you have - what is the time line, 8 yrs, 10 yrs. Dam young pitchers drive me crazy and this does not happen with just the Braves Some very top pitching draftees never see MLB. Why would a GM even want to draft a pitcher at the top of the draft and roll the dice is something that would drive me nuts if it were me. I cannot imagine being a pitching coach - would never have the patience.

But this guy is not ready to do the job if he is ever supposedly ready The LA Dodgers or NYY budget would be an easier solution but takes deep pockets to that Young pitchers drive me crazy - they are inconsistent and are prone to slumps and mistakes but friendly on the budget though

He was forced into action. It happens with all teams. The Braves have a chance to be part of a really fun and exciting September in the NL East. After all that's happened, I'm pretty happy about that. I'm gonna try to enjoy the ride wherever it takes us.

It sure has been a bumpy ride with so much adversity and the one thing I will agree with is that it ain't bad taking two of 3 vs a good team I will give the whole operation credit for not quitting - I guess I just took my post out on Mueller in that we have seen so many young pitchers after young pitchers just fail over the last 6, 7 yrs so that was my misplaced anger toward a guy who just might be good enough maybe. I just have a short leash on young pitchers given the list we have seen - you know the names But Mueller has been in the system for a while - either he gets ready or he is another young arm in passing. We have seen enough of them If the Braves do not make the post season there is one team I will get behind - the SF Giants cause no one expected that renassiance by some vets there and they are a pain in the ass to Dodger fans. So that is a team I can root for when they are not playing the Braves

Geezus. oh I know it. 50 games or so left leaves plenty of time. It's just totally aggravating because this was absolutely predictable Tomlin would make this game unwinnable. 4-1 there was still a chance, but when Tomlin came in, that was equivalent to punting on third down down by only 2 scores in the second quarter. I think as soon as he came in everyone knew he would not be able to keep it a manageable game, and of course that came to fruition. This joker should never be used unless already down or up 10.

One thing is thanks to Will HR Smith we had to use a couple of pitchers last night and on last night's tread as a group we were possibly anticipating some Tomlin time. And we needed more from Mueller and did not get it. Perhaps if Smith does his job last night we would have had a longer pen. But hey two of three to the Reds is not bad. Why is Tomlin around - that is on the powers that be. Of course we have to find a warm body to replace him. I am sure we can think of somebody

Two out of three ain't bad against anybody. The goal is to win series. Sweeps are icing on the cake.

I'll take 2 of 3, but nothing wrong with being greedy either.

Bummer of a game today. I guess 1st place alone is now the new wall. I hope we break that one sooner than the .500 wall. We are going from 1st to 3rd place in less than 24 hours.

10 run rally coming! Didn't the Mets do that to the Braves years ago. I believe Piazza topped it off with a grand slam.
