I grew up listening to Milo and Ernie. My favorite sportscasters of all time.

Skip and Ernie were my favorites, man we were so spoiled.
The baseball gods made us pay for that with Chip and Joe.

Skip, Ernie, and Pete were great. They were hugely entertaining and played off each other so well.
Milon was just old school professional.
Dip and Joe were/are none of that

13 years old. Monday night. National television. Al Downing. I'll never forget it. What an amazing thing to have happen while you're still at an age where you aren't jaded and during a time when you could still have heroes. If any sports figure was
ever a hero, it was Mr. Henry Louis Aaron. I love the way Milo called him Henry. I really think he did it out of respect for the man. I still can't watch that video or listen to that audio without getting a lump in my throat. How's THAT for amazing?

I have a lot of Braves stories I could tell, but you'd probably be bored to tears. There are 2 teams in sports that I truly LOVE as much as you can love such a thing. UNC Tar Heel basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball. I pull for other teams, and I
like sports in general, but those are my 2 sports team passions. Always have been and always will be.

He's an assistant coach now and his son Creighton is a member of the team. Carolina has had a lot of good players from PA.

Dean Smith was the only person on the planet who could hold Michael Jordan to less than 20 points in a game.

Nah......I played against Jordan. Held him scoreless. Nothin' to it......... I’m not talking about 6th grade! You know, there were guys who had equal athletic ability to Jordan, but nobody had his flair. Some athletes are just fun to watch. Contemporary guys like Zion Williamson, Julio Jones, and Acuña are like that. What really set Jordan apart was his drive to win........it was insane. By the way are you a dook fan or mooU? LMAO

LMAO There's something special in just handful of athletes, like Tiger Woods, where the will to win and the ability to perform at peak level under max pressure was something they could do like nobody else. For example, Dominique Wilkins was my favorite player ever to watch, aside from maybe Magic Johnson, but Dominique could never get it done when the heat was on. I think he was more athletic than Jordan but he folded right at the point where Michael would thrive.
Even though I've lived 95% of my life in NC I've never taken to any of the big schools here. I graduated from UNCC so that's always been my school, but we've never really been good at any sport!
For the record, I'm ok with Wake Forest people but aside from that I pretty much hate the rest of the big NC schools equally.

I mean, I do, but geezus man I want somebody to pull for! What am I supposed to do, just sit on the sidelines with no one to pull for? Anyway, just for the record, my mom (that's right my mom.........dad couldn't care less) got me hooked on the Heels. That was when I was just a little kid who had never thought about high school, much less college. That light blue was magic for me. The ACC used to be AWESOME in basketball. The ACC Tournament was a bloodbath. Only 1 team from the ACC could go to the NCAA Tournament, which was a big reason why UCLA won so many championships. I remember the old Big 4 Tournament, too, which was a pre-season tournament with UNC, Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest duking it out. Those were the days!
