David O'Brien @dobrienatl Liberty Media released quarterly earnings report. #Braves revenues went from $11M for 2nd quarter of 2019, when no baseball was played, to $216M for same quarter 2021, when Braves have led MLB in home attendance. Factoring in increased expenses, operating profit for quarter: $54M
David O'Brien @dobrienatl That's after a $26M operating loss for the same quarter a year ago.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl My guess is they do it before the end of the season. I believe the corporate earnings report was main reason for the delay. Quote Tweet
David Broome @dbroome81 Replying to @dobrienatl Does this mean we will see progress on Freddie’s contract soon?

David O'Brien @dobrienatl “It’s huge, because (getting over .500) was on all of our minds. Every time we got to that mark, not being able to get over it…Hopefully it builds that momentum that we need to get this thing rolling. Because we’re right there in the hunt.” — Austin Riley

Braves need to make some serious headway the next 15 games. No reason they can’t win 10-11 of them.

Well, that takes away any built in excuse not to keep Freddie On the now front, Braves should take care of business this weekend vs a different looking Nats team.

Hopefully the wife beater's money will be coming off the books too so we can get a top level player to replace him.

My thoughts on Joc and Duvall is they will try to go somewhere where they can play every day. If its here it could be but you have only 3 spots unless we get the DH There should be room for half of next yr for one of them cause it will take time for Ronald to make it back

I don't think Acuna will be ready until mid season? I don't recall what the prediction is. But with the DH we could use the three guys I just mentioned and still have room for either Pache or Waters to get some time if we had injuries.
Having said that, I feel pretty sure we have no actual interest in Marte. I guess he's just too good of a fit.
Plus we have the unknown on the time frame of the wife beaters process. Ideally we find out we can get out of the contract by about November, that seems almost impossible at this point. I'm not sure if they've even talked about any dates yet on hearings or anything. It seems like it's going to drag out for a long time.

Who is to say that the November we are talking about is November of 2022, not 2021 This seems to drag on like the legal system does. I have no idea but would not be surprised if its still dragging on by ST but I hope to be wrong. And you have the office of MLB that might be involved with their thing.
