Gwinnett wins 4-1, I think they may be 13-1 against Charlotte this season.
Waters 0-1 with 3 BB Pache 1-4 Arcia 1-4 Camargo 1-4 with a 3 run HR Contreras 1-4 Demeritte 0-3
d'Arnaud did not play.
Minter pitched another clean inning for the save, his 6th since going back to Gwinnett two weeks ago, Biddle is pitching well so be prepared to see him with the big club again.....
The Braves are going to trade Camargo for a second rate reliever or low end prospect and he'll probably wind up hitting 20+ HR, 80 RBI, and bat .280 with a .800+ OPS.
Oh well.

Oh well. I'm not so sure. His value right now as a member of the Braves organization is as high as it's going to be, and we're just sitting on him.

What the Braves have done to Camargo is wrong, not to mention stupid as hell. I'd like to know where to apply for the job representing the players in the next labor agreement. I'm a free market guy, but owners have far too much power in baseball. There would likely be a strike, but I'd get the playing field leveled out.

I understand signing Donaldson and that it obviously bothered Camargo. That’s on him, and he did perform poorly. but at the same time most young guys and a lot of veterans would have been shaken up by it. What makes zero sense to me if how they’ve used him last year and even more so this year. He’s not in the plans and yet they won’t move him. He still has a career OPS of .740 in the big leagues and plays the elite defense. You can’t tell me they didn’t get offers for him at the deadline. I can’t imagine he’ll sign another contract with us so he’s gone at the end of this season. So why not move him for whatever the best offer was, no matter what it was. To his credit his season now is exactly like 2018, he’s hitting line drives all over the field and his 20 pace HRs and being extremely consistent. He’s still hitting .350 since June 10th. But I don’t get why we haven’t moved him it just makes zero sense. I’ve come to the conclusion that for whatever the reason may be Snitker just doesn’t like the kid. AA must see value in the kid but Snitker is dead set against him.
