Perhaps all he needed was a chance but it was not likely coming here. Yeah because we're so stacked at the catching position.
He's way ahead of the two good catching prospects we have. He's made an amazing improvement with his hitting this season.
But the opinion that counts is what does the organization think? Did they take the way A Jax tore up AAA seriously and did that improve their regard for him as a prospect. Or, think of him as a later bloomer as a hitter even if it took into his mid to late 20s. Obviously it does not seem to be the case - other wise why would we see Kevan Smith out there night in and night out. I have no idea what A Jax will do in Miami but he has the opportunity to play now and he just might justify being a high first round pick even if it took some yrs

The amazing Mr. Smith grounds only into a force play because he didn't hit it hard enough.

You're certainly drinking the organizations koolaid with the Jackson deal. I know the poor numbers he has put up in the past, but sometimes players actually figure things out and improve.
I hope they play him every day, it was a good sign they played Alfaro in LF tonight, they should stick with that.

Game 5 of The 2019 NLDS comes to mind right off the top of my mind. You deserve one of these for that:
I paid $500 to go to it, I can crack jokes about it

Leadoff double and infield mixup no problem for Chavez as he induces a DP to end the inning.
