You guys do know that Dr Kirby is in attendance, don't you? A BIG dose of karma for him tonight! Indeed

Nice win, now its time to overcome the mental block and get two more to get on the good side of .500 for a change.
Some of this has to be a mental block but we got some infusion of talent in here so no excuse to get on the right side of .500 soon.
The FO did their part as far as making the effort to make a run.
Its up to the players to do their job and make a run - its doable. No excuses accepted

I think we have an off day on Monday. I'm okay with the reliever choices today knowing that. Neither pitched yesterday... I think it has been at least 2 games off for Rodiguez.
In all fairness to Snit... no problem with the choices tonight.

We gave up Wilson, of course, but got 2+ years of a proven reliever. Jackson may make it yet, but there are 2 guys in front of him here prospect-wise. It's better than selling off and throwing in the towel.

It's better than selling off and throwing in the towel. One thing I think all this does is give this team a feel good mental lift. It should be an encouragement motivator in that hey, if they care enough to do that for us its up to us to get out there and get it done. And its not like we are facing godzilla in our division. Just get in, its better than throwing in the towel and wimping out and feeling sorry for your self cause we cannot beat the big bad Dodgers. Anything can happen in a playoff. We overcame a playoff series drought last yr as frustrating as it was losing to the LAD we still took em to 7. Get out there and get it done And we still have plenty of young developing pitching and two legit catching prospects. And who says Soroka cannot come back at some point we all wish the best

Mets win! Just gotta take care of business tomorrow and do our job play by play The breaks needed will come and ground will be picked up if we do our job As Tug Mc Graw said back in '73 when his Mets were well behind in a weakish division "You gotta believe " and they dam near pulled a series upset vs that dynasty A's team - that was one of the most interesting single season teams to me back in my HS days

They won 103 games and finished second, we won 104. That yr was 1993. I was working night shift near the construction of the Olympic Stadium later Turner Field at the time. Plenty of late night stories around the area at the time. Unfortunately we lost the NLCS to the stinking one season wonder Phillies. No WC in those days - last yr of no WC Then we had the 94 strike and 95 was the year we put it all together and got the big trophy and parade. The yr before the Olympics. We should have had two but let 96 get away - still stings to this day - should have closed out Fulton Co Stadium with another big trophy Where I bring in that 1973 is that it was a division of a group of 4 teams that were hovering around .500 nearly all yr. The Cubs were in control for a time but went into a second half tailspin, and the Muts were way back in 5th. But it was a group of teams that were back and forth - Mets, Pirates, Cardinals even the 5th yr Expos and the Cubs would up 5th. Interesting era for me at the time, guess it was youthful enthusiasm.
