I think the Braves just do a horrible job in handling and developing young pitchers. It's like there's no plan at all.

well they look really good in the minors, like they could dominate just about anyone from the get go, but then they get up to the big leagues with what I believe is questionable pitching coaching at least partially at fault for their issues. Then each time they are called up, or back up-- Wright, Wilson(though decent in the monday DH) Newcomb, they just again cant get it goin. Obvious talent differential between AAA and MLB, but youd think they'd be able to make something stick eventually, but they havent. And then they go back down to AAA put up solid to even sometimes dominating performances together. It would seem to me, these guys like Wright and Wilson could reach their potential outside of the organization from coaches who know how to actually develop pitchers. Therefore while they still have some value accrued in the minors, they should be available assets to trade. They just aren't going to develop into what we hoped them to be, but with these buffoons in the organization instructing them. Get something for them while it can be done. They wont net anything huge or game changing, but there could be decent gets to be had. I just dont think their future is with this organization. The Braves are not the only team that runs into this - its the nature of the game it happens all over MLB Its hard to differentiate the keepers from the wanna bees and those who are in the middle. When to hold em or fold em. You have some who are special like Acuna but they are far and few - some are worth having patience with others are just not up to the task. And some, like Soroka run into career altering unfortunate injury - sure hope he bounces back And these experts well, they are not always right. I do not take their stuff as gospel

Dodgers have some interest in both Morton & Pederson in a trade. I would want Andy Pages and Kiebert Ruiz. Fat chance but all you can do is ask

so if you're not going to answer my question about all the specific deals we could've had but passed on, can I just have the web address of the secret newsletter you get?
Oh I forgot I did have one more question… Were we hoarding prospects when we traded those two minor-league first baseman a couple weeks ago? Were we hoarding, or did we just pass up several other better deals we could've had for those same guys?

They even paraded out some players to also praise Smith.
