I have been on the phone for the recent onslaught (10-1). Often, it seems I brag about a good real estate deal. This time, I feel like I lost. My wife basically me to order the sale of a concrete & steel 10th floor investment condo at Daytona Beach because she is scared crapless it is going to fall down a la Surfside, Fla. I paid $143,000 about 8 years ago and let it go for $185,000 (should have gotten in the $225,000 range), because she wanted it gone. HOOVER DAM I'd say the Surfside collapse destroyed the value of high-rise condos for the time being.

My wife just said "it's not over until the fat lady sings" (she's not the fat lady in case you didn't know). I get the idea that the Mets are saving their guys for the last 2 games. If they comeback and make it close that would be different but I think they're was willing to lose this one to possibly win the last two.

Never really saw a condo as a value investment but that is just me. And never wanted to pay a HOA fee. Those balconies give me the willies. Cannot say I blame the Mrs. she might be right. At least you did not lose. Could not live in a city like NY where nearly everybody lives in a high rise. Need some kind of green grass in the front and a place to put the car.

No one knew that Riley would even have the OBP that he has had this yr. Or at least most of the fans We knew he had power but did he have consistency? Note that this is really his first legit full season. Having guys like Freeman and Chipper around doesn't hurt. Those guys are more to the Braves brand than just being great players Even today Chipper is still a highly respected presence and Freddie, he does not have to be a firey leader but just being himself he gets that respect. We might not always be the best but always have had some players of note from Hank, Murph, Justice, the big 3, Chipper and Freddie and now Acuna. Add Niekro too ATL Braves history has not been boring - frustrating yes but not boring

Riley is a great kid, too. You can just tell. He puts in the work and fights his way through the rough spots. It's fun to watch. Well, it's not that fun to watch the rough spots, but you know what I'm saying.
