I like Springer. If we were to sign him (we won't), that would likely mean trading Waters, wouldn't it? Possibly in a package for a starter? I have no idea. Just spitballin'.

Abraham Almonte is a name that Joost would have loved!

25 years ago today, the Atlanta Braves led by Bobby Cox clinched the 1995 World Series title. Where were you and what were you doing when the final out happened?

I lived in Charlotte at the time, I was on my couch going berserker, and I remember thinking "this is the first of a whole bunch of these this group of players is going to win."
When we smoked the Yankees in the first two games in New York in '96 I was like yep, we gonna win 4-5 championships with this group.

Oh boy I'd take a big time pass on that, he hasn't been good for the last six years. Even in 2019 when he had a 3.15 ERA his xFIP was in that 4.20 to 4.40 range where he's been the last six seasons.

For a Bullpen replacement, maybe brandon Kintzler from the Marlins is an option. They declined an option that was only 4 million, which I was surprised to hear it being that low...
In fact i barely have heard of any options being picked up, which is telling me the the pandemic economics is weighing heavily on the teams. I have a feeling the free agents are going to be disappointed in what they will be offered.

I agree. I was reviewing his performance over the past few years and it really hasn't been very good at all. I mean at the best with Soroka back he's a #5 who might offer some veteran presents, but I would much rather go a different direction.

Yeah, I'd much rather see what Kluber has left than to do this, but then again, I preferred Castellanos over Ozuna, so what do I know? FWIW, I'd be all in on a Tajuan Walker gamble, too.

I would definitely have interest in Brantley.
