I never had quite the distaste for Sinead that some of my contemporaries developed. I really liked that duet, but it makes me feel really old. I don't see how anyone can't love that woman and that voice...she has the voice of an angel man. OK I could see Uckery not liking her but he's rather sexist, a grumpy old man and only likes two kinds of music....country and western.

I'm on an 80's kick right now. Wow... been about 30 years on that one!

I discovered the Felice Brothers about four years ago, and was really upset when I found out Simone had left the band. Until I heard his solo stuff, which is way better than the great stuff the Felice Brothers did.
This is off the same album as the one you posted (which is a great song), and this was actually the first song I heard of theirs, a freaking awesome song:

I first heard of them through you. It was that incredible song/video he performs in a church and I've liked them ever since. The brothers are hilarious in interviews too.

Yep, that's a great vocal performance there. He's really pissing me off because he hasn't toured the US in a long time and I've never seen him play live. He just plays a few shows around NY, in the mountain area where he's from, and then he goes over to Ireland and other European areas and plays a lot over there because he's really popular over there. I don't see how he does it with never touring here at all. Maybe he'll start again someday. He's had some serious health issues, he had a heart surgery around 2012....there's a YouTube clip of him talking about how the doctors couldn't believe he was still alive when they first discovered his problem. I agree the others are all cut ups all the time and funny. He's definitely much more serious but what a great talent. He has a new record coming out in April. It's called "Projector," that clip I posted earlier is the only song they've released from it so far.

You’ve talked about Simone Felice at the other place...
The song jah posted was just incredible. I would kill to see that live.

You’ve talked about Simone Felice at the other place... The song jah posted was just incredible. I would kill to see that live. Yeah me too. It's an 8-9 hour drive to where he plays in NY, he has a barn there and does about 5 shows there a year, so the crowd is really small. If he hasn't started touring the US in the next year or two we're going to have to get tickets to one of his shows up there and go, it. I like his acoustic solo stuff the most, but this was a great show--the sound quality isn't very good, but it's still worth watching. The guy gives it all, all the time. Some of my favorites of his:
