If Gohara turns it around this card could be worth quite a bit more than what I paid for it. Here is me sharing my first non-card Braves purchase. Got this 1948 Braves Scorecard for $17.50, which I think is a pretty darn good deal considering how old it is.

Hahahaha, that Braves scorecard sold for ten cents back when it was made, you got sooooooooo ripped off.
Sorry, I've been dealing with so many idiots here the last few days it's starting to rub off.

I look forward to seeing you on an episode of Hoarders. Haha, I'm actually REALLY particular with what I collect, so I don't foresee myself getting to hoarder level. Now if you said, "I look forward to seeing you become James Earl Jones in The Sandlot", you'd got me pegged.

I know, I'm such a sucker. I can be to a certain point, but I've reached the ends of my limits. I have nothing else to say on the matter. There's too many hard heads here that can't look at things objectively or grasp the big picture or have an open mind. I'm not even trying to say I'm right, I'm just giving my opinion and saying that I think it's the same thinking the Braves are using. But podcast guys and trade rumors guys are out there bitching that the Braves aren't doing anything, so they must be right!!! We should just be making all kinds of moves, damn the consequences! Let's get into another rebuild within a couple of years! BLLLAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

You let it get to you too much.
At this point in my life I don't get riled up about all that much. I make my comments and move on.

I don't mind the conversation, it doesn't get to me until you keep hearing the same thing over and over, with no actual sensible solutions. The Braves aren't doing enough. Ok, what should they do. Then you get an unrealistic answer. You respond why it's unrealistic, and you get no sensible answers, just continued insistence that the Braves just simply aren't doing enough. So we should all do a bunch of bitching about it. After awhile, I let it get to me. It takes quite a bit, but I've reached that point now where I'm not even going to bother reading anymore "conversations" about the lack of moves we're making.

If you're going back and forth with someone that says, "Joe Blow on the radio said this", then you're dealing with someone who's living in a bubble. No point in arguing with them. All you can do is just show them what you've seen and then either their cognitive dissonance will kick in, or they'll change their mind. You can forget you changing their mind. That rarely happens.

At that point I just started mocking them. If I can't debate with you, I'm gonna mock you, or make fun of you. I get on this board to be stimulated through conversation and debate. If you can't provide that type of stimulation, I'm gonna get my stimulation some other way.

Here's an example of something I hate... ***Here's Steve Adams hot take from the mlbtraderumors chat Jeff 3:36 Just what in the Hell are the Braves doing? Steve Adams 3:36 Not nearly enough, from my vantage point. I don’t really understand why they haven’t upgraded their rotation or bullpen, nor is it clear why a low-upside Markakis reunion was the preferred option in right field. I think their offseason has been weak and fans are right to be irritated.*** His response does nothing but criticize. It's so easy to criticize, it's a lot harder to offer an alternative. All he did there was stir the pot. I bet you if his feet were put to the fire and he was in AA's position his results would have either not have been much different than what AA did, or he would have messed up the teams future.

Yeah that was a conversation I was involved in. The bored has been littered with guys the last several days bellyaching about the Braves not doing anything, and one guy has quoted "podcasts" several times. Interesting to me to think that's a valid source to back up your arguments. Basically, "some guy agreed with me" so I'm right. My point has continued to be show me what reasonable moves we should have made and I get "Kluber" and "Pollock" as answers, because those guys are definitely upgrades and the kind of players we need. Throw all reason to the wind, screw being sensible. We should have traded Pache, Wright and Touki for Kluber, and offered Pollock 5 years at $75M. And those are just a few examples. I'm not even clicking on any of those treads anymore.

I don't think they are, they think we should have gotten 8 players of that caliber. I didn't like the J.D. signing and I still don't. But we've all said our piece on that, and if he has a great season then it was a great move. My problem with it if he is injured or performs poorly is that was money we could have used elsewhere.
